Privacy
This page describes the data flows visible in the current berkant.me implementation. The site has no user accounts, comments, checkout, newsletter form, or contact form, and it does not ask visitors to submit personal information through the website.
Analytics
The site loads Google Analytics after the page becomes interactive and sends page-view events. Its default consent state denies analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data, and ad personalization. Google Signals and advertising-personalization features are disabled in the site configuration.
Because the Google tag still loads with storage denied, Google may receive measurements without cookies, including consent state and ordinary request information such as a timestamp, user agent, and referrer. Google describes this behavior as advanced consent mode. The site does not provide a control that changes the denied storage state to granted.
Network and server data
As with most websites, the hosting infrastructure receives request information needed to deliver pages and protect the service. This can include an IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent, referrer, and diagnostic logs. The homepage also loads a font stylesheet and the Google tag from Google-operated domains, so those requests are governed by Google’s own privacy terms.
The server reads the public GitHub contribution page to update the contribution graph. That request is made by the berkant.me server and does not send a visitor’s GitHub credentials. Links to GitHub, LinkedIn, X, and other external products leave this site and are governed by the destination’s policies.
Email and questions
If you email me, your message, address, headers, and any information you include are processed by the email services used by you and by me. I use that information to read and respond to the message. Do not send secrets or sensitive customer data through ordinary email unless an appropriate secure channel has been agreed first.
