About Berkant Ay
I’m a software engineer in Berlin with more than eight years of experience building production systems across AI agents, SaaS, advertising technology, industrial diagnostics, autonomous systems, and hardware.
Current work
I’m currently researching AI agents, reinforcement-learning environments, developer tools, and the infrastructure that keeps long-running agent work reliable. My day-to-day work spans product engineering, agent orchestration, context engineering, evaluations, observability, distributed systems, and Kubernetes operations.
I built PrimePage end to end, covering the customer-facing product, agent workflows, multi-tenant backend, and Kubernetes platform. I also publish practical writing about operating agent systems and maintain open-source tools including Cheez, GoMorph, Lucius, mcprox, slop0, codesearch, and polar-cli.
Experience
Before working independently, I was a founding engineer at Pyne and a senior software engineer at Firefly. Earlier roles at Siemens, DASAL, and Airties covered factory automation, AI research and development, computer vision, embedded and hardware systems, and production software. That path—from bare metal to cloud infrastructure—still shapes how I design dependable systems.
